Hear and be heard.

Couples counselling.

Relationships can be hard. We all experience times of stress and strain, which can make our most important relationships feel under threat. You may feel like it is time to move on, or you may not. The two of you may not agree.

Talking to a couples counsellor can unlock conversations which feel stuck, or like you’re going round in circles. At Makepeace House, our experienced couples therapists offer a mediated, safe, non-judgemental space for you to work through your issues and move forward.

Meet our couples counsellors.

Both Thomasin and David provide relationship counselling. Through talking about your needs with a relationship counsellor, a couple can feel more open to speak freely and work through a path forward. Couples work focuses on creating a space in which both members of the relationship can be heard and understood, free from judgement.

Talking about your relationship can be daunting. We offer a relaxed, non-judgmental, safe space. Sessions begin by meeting for an initial assessment together, where we talk through the issues you are facing as a couple. Each of you then meets with their assigned counsellor once on an individual basis, for a completely confidential session without your partner present. We then move to weekly meetings all together, which can be 60 or 90 minutes in length, depending on your needs as a couple. David charges from £70 a session; Thomasin’s fees start at £90.
